COACH JAMES CLANCY
Coach Clancy currently serves as the Campus Athletic Director & Head Football Coach for the Klein Cain Hurricanes, a role he has served in since the school started in January of 2017. The Hurricane athletic program has over 1,000 participants, with the football program consisting of over 300, institutioning a β Culture of Commitmentβ, building champions in the classroom and in competition.
He has tutored & mentored hundreds of student-athletes over his career, more specifically seeing his student-athletes go onto play at varying levels of college football and become productive citizens in their respective communities. An active member in professional organizations, he served two terms as president of the GHFCA ( Greater Houston Football Coaches Association), is also an active member of the AFCA (American Football Coaches Association) and THSCA (Texas High School Football Coaches Association) respectively. Coach Clancy was recently named to Dave Campbellβs Texas Football 40 under 40 list and was named the 2022 15-6A Coach of the Year.
He received his masters degree in education administration from Lamar University and his undergraduate degree from Oklahoma State University where he was a player and student assistant. He is a native of Tulsa, Oklahoma, where he graduated from Bishop Kelley High School.
Coach Clancy is happily married to his wife Alison, and is the proud father of 3; Chloe (12), Brody (8) and Carly (4).
